The order Lepdioptera is one of the largest insect known for pest species among moths and bioindicators butterflies. latter also form a major portion Wildlide (Protection Act, 1972) especially insects. remarkable diversity Lepidoptera has been compiled by Nieukerken et al. 2011, Heppner, 2014 worldwide but our knowledge Indian very poor. present paper an attempt to review distribution in India.
